My son has been charged with aggravated robbery this

my son has been charged with aggravated robbery
this involves a lizard which he purchased on line and the lizard was mutilated and had to be euthanized at Massey uni
unfortunately he took along with him to meet up with chap who sold the lizard a really unpredictable and violent man who decided to taser the seller and do damage to his car and stole his wallet and other things
what is your advise please

Do you know if he has been charged as a party to the offence under the Crimes Act? This would mean that even though he didnt use the taser, because the main offender was with him at the visit, then he can be charged with the same offence.
