Can you advise me on the NZ Redundancy Payout calculations?
JA: What state are you in? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: Northland, NZ
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: I have received my payout letter and want to confirm it has been calculated correctly.
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: I have to sign a Deed of Release by 23rd November for an additional one month pay.

There isn't a particular law which says how much you should get. If you have redundancy clauses in your employment contract, that will say how you get paid. If there isn't a clause, and they are just paying you out, then it's whatever they offer. But the usual way is have a payment which is the same as your wages, with deductions for tax and KiwiSaver. So if the payment looks like a month of your usual pay it is likely to be correct
