Hi , if the police come to your house with a search warrent , because of dodgy texts they four d on someone else's phone, (not living with you). Eg can I buy from you, .Are they allowed to take everyone's phone at the house at the time of the search? and then request the full phone history from the network provider and start charging , when they didn't find any class b , that the set h warrant was for and no texts on your phone, like been deleted?

The search warrant should contain a description of what was to be looked at. If the search leads to relevant things like the records these should be included in the warrant. If the authority in the warrant is exceeded then the evidence can be challenged in court and if on the balance the probative value exceeds the unfairness it will be admitted
