A property has been sold and as the new owner will be living

Customer Question

A property has been sold and as the new owner will be living in the property. A periodic tenancy was in place. 42 days notice will be given in writing and hand delivered to the tenants. The day of notice will not be counted in the 42 days notice. Is there a time ie. 5pm on the final day or is it midnight on that day please?

The Interpretation Act says that the day expires on the end of that day, which would mean midnight.
