I need you help. I live out at Muriwai Beach and dealing with neighbour who abuses the Council Rules & Regulations. It is about my neighbours stormwater pipeline which he hasn't sorted and when it rains his stormwater gushes onto my property and erodes my property banks. He also has some fault in his septic system because I get regularly bad detergent smells. This is all well know to the council departments, WaterCare, Healthy Waters and Compliance. I find myself been ignored by council staff and they push my matter just aside. I asked for council to issue an abatement notice to neighbour but nothing happens. Council has been like this for as long as 1 year. We are heading into Winter and I am so utterly worried about my property. Council also has all the evidence, a compliance officer names Phil Greeves came out and I pointed everything out ... he took notice and left a council note with neighbour... 3 weeks later... again, nothing. Even the council guy doesnt reply... they ignore a valuable, respectful taxpayer. I am extremely proud of my property have done massive amount of jobs around there to help council with their malfunctioning public stormwater pipeline... paid $60,000 and more... and now I want to develop my property and put a good septic system in and council and bloody neighbour hold me back, stall the issue and I am left with loosing my patients. You are now my last resort... please can you advise me what to do?? … read more

We own two adjacent properties (19 &***** in Remuera. We are thinking about a Minor Dwelling at the rear of the 25 Section. The 25 section where we hope to build the MD is at the end of our 19 long driveway. The 19 long driveway was created as a ROW in 1967 shared with our neighbour at 19A. The title shows a 50:50 split with each having a ROW over the other half. Do we need permission from our neighbour at 19A to use the driveway to access the 25 rear section for construction? Do we need permission of our neighbour at 19A to access the 25 MD by our future tenants? … read more
