A large shed has been erected very close to the fence on a neibouring property.This is very much in your face cream coloured metal shed.What is the minimum measurement allowed for distance from your property.Being metal it is noisy being immediately under a bedroom window?

This may be too close, but you will need to check with your local council building code and planning regulations. They are not standard throughout New Zealand. If you ask for the planning department at the council, they should be able to tell you fairly quickly if this is permitted and if not, you can ask them to take enforcement action and require removal of the shed
