We own two adjacent properties (19 & 25 Market Road) in
We own two adjacent properties (19 &***** in Remuera. We are thinking about a Minor Dwelling at the rear of the 25 Section. The 25 section where we hope to build the MD is at the end of our 19 long driveway. The 19 long driveway was created as a ROW in 1967 shared with our neighbour at 19A. Thanks for offering help. Pearl, are you in the US? I am in
Hi there Pearl, are you in the US? I am in NZ, and my question relates to a right of way my property shares with four other neighbours. The right of way is on road reserve which is part of the Porirua City Council roading network, I want to know who is responsible for the cost of repairs and maintenance to the right of way surface. I am aware from a previous event, a slip and consequent subsidence of the right of way, that the PCC council will not pay. So my question relates to how the cost should be borne by the five users, when the damage that needs repairing is part way along the right of way, adjoining the middle house of the five, and therefore only affects three of us who have to drive over the braking up concrete. Should the repair cost be borne by all five, or just the three affected? Thanks, Warwick … read more
