Chris. Chris. I lent my ISP $12500 to expedite installation
Hi Chris. I lent my ISP $12500 to expedite installation of a microwave link to our inaccessible street. The loan was to be for 3 years, maturing on July 14 last. Various Ts and Cs of course, but they have comprehensively reneged on every clause ad now wont pay the money back, other than by offering a ridiculously low monthly payment. There are two sister companies, one doing the engineering (Rural Networks Ltd) and the other is the actual ISP (Greenfields Internet Ltd.). The share the same sole director. To complicate matters, Greenfields was 'removed' from the Co.s Register on July 17th (3 days after due date). Some time ago the ceased deducting my monthly fees (I don't know why) but when I really got on their case I said I would pay no further fees until the agreement was resolved. Greenfields are still charging me, and I'm still receiving internet service. Can they continue to trade after being deregistered? And what happens to my contributions if I do pay the arrears? Cheers ***** ***** Antill … read more
