Help - Help - we live in rural Ruakaka and have (had)
Please help - we live in rural Ruakaka and have (had) amazing views BUT the next door section sold and the new owners have constructed a 10 metre high shed directly in front of us which has blocked part of what was an amazing view which has absolutely devastated me. I rang the council and neighbours are allowed to construct a 10 metre building anywhere on there property. It seems so not correct - Can we do anything about this. Also the implications of this is that if we can not do anything about this, we have to purchase a numerous number of plants/trees which have to be at least 6 - 8 metres high and will probably need roughly about 40 plants/trees and will cost a lot of money and we are not in a position to have the money for these. Have we any legal rights to either 1. do something about the building blocking which was our amazing views or 2. Get them to pay for the trees 3. Money Compensation for the fact that this building probably has reduced our property by at least $50,000 to $100,000 resale. PLEASE HELP … read more
