Customer Question

Hi, I am singer into a two year lease via a deed of lease.
This was signed by me at home with no witnesses and then sent to the landloard.

My question is

is this still a binding document as it states on the deed: to ensure this document binds the company as a deed it must be signed in accordance with section 180 of the companies act 1993. If one director signs it must be witnessed.

Is this binding?

christhelawyer : This unfortunately would be binding. Although it is not a formal deed, that does not matter because it is still a binding contract. There are signatures from both sides, and the lease conditions have been met.
christhelawyer : you have taken possession and paid rent so this does bind you
