I contracted my derbicrd. As a health a health and safety
as a health a health and safety consultant in Nelson nz there has been an ongoing dispute in regards ***** ***** not paying my final invoice as the believed I had an outstanding account for services they supplied to me however they never paid me for my next invoice they with held payment when I questioned them about this they denied it but then zi realised that I in voiced one company but in fact the co I had cjontrsctrd was another business entity so my unpaid invoice for work I had completed wasn't off set with work they had completed for me. Both. Companies had the same three Directors this went on and on for months as they kept saying I owed this debt when I knew I didn't owe it. I went to my accountant with all the invoices I had sent this company and dates that were and were not paid as they never paid on time sometimes well into the next month or not at so this was tough being a sole trader . Then late 2017 I had a cardiac arrest and very lucky to survive. Once I was recovering zi realised I was owed a months work that I had invoice them for but as usual I had to contact the main Director to ask him for the payment I was entitled to he was very rude sarcastic in regards ***** ***** health event and he stated that he wasn't going to pay me for the previous monthI always worked in their premises for 3 hrs a week.he said this on the grounds when I went to Australia for a month to help my daughter through a horrible marital split and claimed for work while I was there without telling him . I arranged with the manager that I had plenty I could do while I was away as I was getting them ready for their annual audit for their compliance of their Health and Safety. I did my 3hrs a week while I was away that month and diaries time allocated to that company and I communicated with the Manager. At this particular time I couldn't handle this awful confrontation from the Director so didn't do anything about it. But now with nearly 2 years later I really feel I need to re address this issue so what.can I do ? And is there an ombudsman I can send my complaint to? … read more
