I'm in wellington, New Zealand. This relates to my parents'
This relates to my parents' wills. Just before my father died in 2012 he asked me to organise his lawyer to visit him in hospital because he wanted to change his will. At that stage I was nominated as the POA and my brother as the executor (if both my parents had died) He wanted me to be the executor as well. He talked to a neighbour about this too. However, after his death the lawyer had a copy of the previous doc for 2007; not updated. The lawyer was critically sick at the time and also died so the law firm was taken over. I have been assuming the position of POA for our MUm as she had dementia. SHe's just passed away and I've been notified that my brother is the executor.… read more
