This is clearly an unjustified dismissal and certainly not an aboandonment of his work. Because of the time of the year he will find it hard to do something this week but he should ring the mediation Service at the Department of Labour at 0800 20 90 20. .

I have informed his boss , HR and pay office by email what was the reason for withholding his last weeks pay and his reply wasI believe he has been paid. No reply has come from the HR or the pay office. I also have informed him to go to work as per normal tomorrow.
