You should be able to claim this through the Disputes Tribunal-is there a reason why you think you cannot-have you been told something?

I was told over the phone by the Albany Disputes Tribunal that yes I could, so I got all the paper work together from the finance company and also from the bank..dates etc. Filled out the forms went in and was told, sorry this is a matrimonal matter (because we have not got a seperation agreement) and told to go upsairs to the Family Court, at that point advised to pay for a lawyer or read the website on how to represent myself.

The claim is against your husband, to mak him pay his half of the debts. Are the debts fully paid or are you still paying them off?

The GE Finance is fully paid now, not the visa this debt goes back to 24th August 2008 when we seperated. ASB turned me down to consolidate the debts, which was crazy as i became more in debt as I could only ever make the minimal payment, so the debt became higher. A friend loaned me the money so I could pay the debt, I pay her $150 a week, this includes interest.
