My mother passed away some 17years ago now unfortunately
So my mother passed away some 17years ago now unfortunately only a matter of months after she had remmaried as my father passed away approx 5years prior to that. When my mother passed away(without any will) her the new husband distributed some of her few remaining personal belongings throughout the family including the entire photo collection comprising of images of myself and other 7 siblings. This collection was given to my eldest brother and his then new wife. They broke up and have since moved on and now have new respective partners, breakups can be ugly to say the least and this one is no exception, for almost 2 years he had requested that photo collection back from her and she has declined to take the request seriously. He has stopped asking as there relationship is very volitile only escalates with any interaction. What can I legally do is my question? The collection was given to my brother and his wife, but they are only family photos of us not her and they all predate her even meeting him by a decade or so. Any advice would be great thanks … read more
