In the end any income which you receive in New Zealand willl be taxed at the rates which are current in NZ. If you dont bring all the income into New Zealand, which would be the purpose i assume of the NZFT, you would have tax issues wherever that trust is domiciled, but if the trust in a country with a double tax treaty this could avoid some tax. I think you should consult a tax expert in New Zealand and take detailed advice however, based on the domicile of the trust and the nature of the trust

Unfortunately your reply does not answer my question or give me any further information from what I already knew. I was looking for someone who had understanding of the benefits of a UK Foreign Trust for a NZ resident. Thanks for the attempt though.

I really think that this needs the full advice of an expert tax accountant, as the factors of the nature of the foreign trust and its powers and the tax position require a detailed opinion, which while I have some general tax knowledge, is frankly so specialised I can only give a general answer.
