This is Hasan Abdoh. I formed a paint company, supply and apply. I signed a contract with Ebert Construction on 3/7/18 for $60,800+GST. Ebert was in a haste to do the job to deliver their project. I was supposed to finish in 30 days but they begged to finish in 16 days, I increased the labor hand and finished in 15 days. I was paid $18,000+GST during my work. I left NZ for a trip on 16/7 and came back on 13/8 to find out that Ebert went into receivership. Apparently, in my belief, Ebert knew what was going to happen before they granted me the contract. This is my first job as I am launching my business. I feel that Ebert has cheated on me and that I have been played with. Please advise what can I do as I cannot afford to lose that money nor I can afford to pay for the painters I used. The process is too long. Is there a way to take Ebert to court for illegal conduction to put pressure on them to pay me back? Thank you. Hasan Abdoh … read more
