MRI LEFT ANKLE: Technique: Multiplanar, multisequential Findings: Small focal area of increased marrow signal intensity is seen at the neck of talus. Thickened obtained. images were anterior talofibular ligament, posterior talofibular ligament is intact. Deltoid and syndesmotic ligaments are intact. Minimal fluid is seen with in tibialis posterior and flexor hallucis longus tendons, the extensor and peroneal tendons of the an kle are normal with no evidence of tendinosis, tendonitis or tendon tear. The Achilles tendon is intact with minimal fluid is seen within the retrocalcaneal bursa. There is minimal anterior tibiotalar and posterior subtalar ankle joint effusion. Normal appearance of the muscle compartments around the ankle. There is abnormal soft tissue edema is within subcutaneous fat seen opposite to medial malleolus and medial side of the foot. Conclusion: Talar neck trabecular injury with minimal ankle joint effusion. Chronic anterior talofibular ligament sprain. Minimal tibialis posterior and flexor hallucis longus subcutaneous fat edema opposite to medial associated with tenosynovitis .malleolus and medial side of the foot u.
