I have tried to answer your health questions and concerns point by point below here;

We have talked in the past about body wide twitches and you indicated that is not an indication of something like ALS

----------Yes, I fully remember, and my diagnosis is still exactly the same, I am not at all suspecting als in you, and your muscle twitching is definitely benign in nature.

I am 33, the twitching went away mostly

-----------In als, it being a progressive degenerative disease of the motor neurons, so any symptoms once start are expected to be present constantly and also the symptoms are expected to keep progressively worsening too, but in your case the twitching has overall improved, at least once - indicates once again this cannot be due to conditions such as als etc

However per the instructions on my buspar medication I upped the dosage after a couple weeks from half pill in morning and half pill at night to 1 pill in morning and one at night...the twitching a couple days later came back. Could this be the medication or just coincidentally ot came back?

-----------This appears just a coincidence only, buspar is normally not known to do this, very rarely there are so many meds that can cause muscle twitching including buspar too, but this is not considered as a common side effect of buspar, so it is difficult to say whether this coming back of twitching is due to the buspar, or not. You may try to reduce the dose and go back to the previous dose and see whether the twitching improves, if improves then it may indicate it is a side effect of buspar. But one or otherway this is not related to als, because as mentioned earlier too als twitching is not expected to improve once, and then come back, rather als related twitching will not get better ever.

Also, I have been in my right hand having a mild twitch today between my index finger and thumb, which causes my thumb to then contract and jolt a little. This is mostly when my arm is bent and especially when it is bent and I am holding my phone and my thumb is still but hovering over the key pad...is this "normal"?

---------Yes, these types of twitchings are benign in nature only. This could be part of the twitching that has now come back again too. But there is really no suspicion for als in you. Just isolated twitching without progressive muscle weakness and progressive muscle atrophy cannot be due to als

Once again I can very categorically reassure you, please see there is absolutely no suspicion for any serious neurological illnesses in you including als etc, the body wide twitching coming back or the twitching in the hand etc you have described above are not at all related to als, rather these are totally benign in nature, this could be coincidental to increasing the dose of buspar, or a side effect to buspar too, but one thing is fully certain that your twitchings are not at all related to anything serious such as als etc, these twitchings are totally benign in nature, so please not to be scared.
