VerifiedHello-You don’t have ALS.The numbness in the pinky and ring finger is related to ulnar neuropathy, basically pressure on the ulnar nerve at your elbow, and is common at nighttime because of the pressure on your arm when you sleep (especially if you sleep on your arm).Numbness in the leg can be related to a “pinched” nerve in your lumbar spine, and if your symptoms continue, mri of the lumbar spine can be helpful there.ALS is a condition that causes progressive weakness - not numbness. So you don’t have to worry about that.
Because ALS is a motor neuron disease, of the sensation is not affected. So issues with numbness should not be related to a motor neuron disease.
