Findings: The background consist of admixtures of low voltage beta activity with mixed amplitude theta frequencies. Overall background symmetric and includes posterior dominant alpha 10 Hz alpha frequencies. Subjectively symmetric, regular, spindling and responds with eye opening and eye closure. There is intermittent focal slowing is present in the right anterior quadrant. Small sharps noted in the left temporal region during this recording. K complexes, delta activity, vertex of the patient passes at least stage II sleep. There are no additional findings in sleep. No electrographic seizures. No patient events are marked. Impression: This routine EEG is showing focal slowing in the right anterior quadrant. There are epileptic sharps noted in the left temporal region. There are no electrographic seizures. The findings are suggestive for structural abnoramlity of the right hemisphere but also show epileptogenic potential.
