Hello Cameron. I am Dr. Pennington. I would like to help you.

How old are you? Gender? Medications?

Why did you have the MRI to begin with?

Ask Your Own Neurology Question
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
Really bad light headedness getting worse
Neurologist: Connie Pennington,
 replied 3 months ago

Ok. The MRI finding is "non-specific" and really does not mean anything, nor does it have anything to do with your symptoms.

Now, I would like to help you get to the root of your problem.

Tell me about the light-headedness and twitching. Twitching where? When?

Ok. Do you smoke? Do you take any medications?

Have you had any surgeries?

No no very healthy and work out
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
All blood work is normal
Neurologist: Connie Pennington,
 replied 3 months ago

OK. Good. Blood work is normal.

The next thing I look at is food sensitivities, which are not allergies, but things that we are so sensitive to, that cause systemic symptoms.

I usually order an IgG food sensitivity test, and a complete Vitamin profile and heavy metal test. There is usually a sensitivity or environmental exposure behind these things.

The poor man's way of food testing is an elimination diet.

I can send you a guide, or we can talk about what you eat. You may well be gluten sensitive.

I have had celiac tested nothing ammonia tested nothing iron tested in 2016
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
All normal
Neurologist: Connie Pennington,
 replied 3 months ago

There is a difference between Celiac and gluten sensitivity. You can still be sensitive.

Any heavy metal testing. Did they look at specific B vitamin profile, like not just B12, folate but all the B vitamins. Thiamine (B1), Riboflavin (B2), and Niacin (B3) levels are really important when working up mystery conditions. Have you seen a functional medicine specialist?

You are only going to get "rule out" this and that is standard western medicine.

Here it is
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
That is what I have had
Neurologist: Connie Pennington,
 replied 3 months ago

I can't open the results, but I do not see what I am looking for. There is a Vit D and B 12.

I would love to see a deeper dive.

I mean something is causing your symptoms, it just takes quite a bit to find it.

Do you travel? Been out of the country? What line of work are you in? Do you have any mold in your house?

Do you live with pets?

There is a lot to this.

If you go to IFM.org you can find a functional medicine doctor in your area. That might really help.

I am a little helpless to do much over the internet, but I am glad to direct you.

I would want food sensitivity tests, and a Genova NutraEval test.

Those all came back
Normal
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
Was the heavy metal testing included in there?
Neurologist: Connie Pennington,
 replied 3 months ago

I saw copper, but could not open the result.

I did not see mercury, lead, cadmium, tin, etc. Kinda depends on where you live/what your exposures are.

Your physician has done a good work up, but now you need a functional medicine doctor to take it deeper.

Neurologist: Connie Pennington,

Again, you have had a good standard western medicine work up.

You are beyond that. You need a deeper dive with speciality labs.

Find a functional medicine doctor. IFM.org will help you find one.

Neurologist: Connie Pennington,

Not that I know of. Sorry.

It could be many things, heavy metals just need to be ruled out. Same with food sensitivities.

Anything I could order online?
Neurologist: Connie Pennington,

No. A urine test will only look for 12hour exposure. You need a red blood cell pellet to look for 90 day exposure. You can order some tests on line. Hair tests can look at longer exposures.

Even if you tested yourself, you do not know how to detox. So, find a physician and let them use the test they are comfortable with. You can't do this yourself.
