These blood investigations indicate infection (neutrophils being raised). Since urine analysis show RBCs, this may be urinary tract infection.

The other possibility is flare up of arthritis which too can explain these investigative findings.

Investigations are interpreted in the context of symptoms, signs, physical exam finding and medical imaging.

Please feel free for your follow up questions.

I would be happy to assist you further, if you need any more information.

Thanks for using Just Answer.

Thank you. I’m currently undiagnosed with possibly a systemic auto immune issue. I’ve been in a bad flare for weeks. It seems like based on your response there is a good chance we’re on the right path. Is there any chance this could be an infection that isn’t auto immune that requires treatment? Thank you!
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
An infection besides a urinary tract infection...
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
I’ve also noticed my neurological symptoms have dramatically increased in this flare...I feel as though I am walking like I’m drunk and have had bad head tremors/shaking. I also have had severe stomach problems and reflux. So far all MRI’s, CT scans, etc have been normal. This is the first set of blood work that has come back abnormal.
Neurologist: drphophalia, Other replied 3 months ago

You are very welcome.

Just by these investigations, it is not possible to exactly/firmly diagnose the cause and your would need further work up. An infection can be ruled out by body fluids culture. Your doctor may get a urine and blood culture initially.

It is privilege assisting you.

Additional symptoms: central vertigo (constant), global muscle spasms/twitching/numbness/pins and needles all over body and face, global muscle stiffness and weakness (specifically neck - neck positionincreases vertigo), "crunching" feeling at base of neck/head when turning head, global joint pain - joint popping when moving and occasional fiery feeling, pitting edema on both knees, heat sensitivity and rashes all over when hot, extreme fatigue, occasional ear popping/fullness/aching, freezing feet/hands, electric "jolts" when resting - jolts usually move head but are global as well - sometimes strong enough to move body significantly, unexplained bruising (usually patches on thighs), overall body heaviness, occasional chest tightness, bones feel achy, bloating/abdominal pain.
Neurologist: drphophalia, Other replied 3 months ago

You may ask for these investigations, if not already done;

1) Electromyography

2) Nerve conduction velocity study.

3) Muscle enzyme; creatine kinase.

4) Skin and muscle biopsy.

Was this information helpful to you? I would be glad to answer any further questions.
