My Mom missed a step walking down stairs and fell injuring her right foot more specifically the area between little toe and the ankle she cannot get ice or walk on it what should she do?

Doctor's Assistant: What are your mother's symptoms? Has she used any medication for this?

No medication

Doctor's Assistant: Has she seen a pediatrician about this?

Just laying and elevating foot with pillow

Thank you for the input.
I am very sorry for her symptoms.
There can be a fracture or sprain.
She can take Tylenol or Motrin now.
Those would reduce her pain.
She needs to keep the leg elevated & supported on a pillow.
If the symptom continues, I would advise to take an examination by doctor.
She would need an X ray.
Further treatment can then be planned.
