Customer Question
My daughter Kelly has...

My daughter Kelly has had epilepsy since she was 17 and is now 54 years old. She started taking phenobarb at that age and took it until just last year when she finally was weaned off it. She was also on delatin (phenotoin) and is still on that. She is also on medical marijuana which she started last year. (CBD and THC drops). In the last year her seizures have increased and has violent shaking almost every day. Please help me to help her.

Doctor's Assistant: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?

We have seen a local neurologist here in Thunder Bay, but she seems no better. She perscribed a drug which did not help her. I listed what drugs she is on now.

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

She has developed tremors but was told it is not parkinsons'

I am sorry she is still having seizures.

it sounds like she may need blood testing to check her dilatin levels

she may need higher doses

she may need a better antiseizure medication like keppra

she may need more indica strain medical marijuana in her CBD oil to help prevent seizures

let me know if you have questions.

Her dilatin levels are a bit on the high side. She has increased her CBD oil to .75 in the mornings. I am leary to putting her on a new drug for seizures. What do you think...
Neurologist: Dr. David, Board Certified MD replied 7 months ago

I would work on increase her dose of CBD oil and see if that helps

if you are not willing to start her on keppra
