Customer Question
There is mild prominence...

There is mild prominence of sulci and widening of and hemispheric
fissure, indicating some underlying atrophy.
Lateral ventricles are prominent and there is an impression of
reduced relative activity in the posterior cingulate cortex
bilaterally.
Mild reduction of anterior temporal lobe activity bilaterally and
symmetrically.
Normal symmetric activity elsewhere in frontal, parietal and
occipital cortices. Normal appearance of basal ganglia and
thalamic nuclei. Normal appearance of cerebellar cortices.
Impression
Brain PET abnormalities observed are relatively mild and may be
seen as consequence of microvascular disease.
There are no specific features to indicate presence of
neurodegenerative change at this time with regard to frontal,
temporoparietal cortices. Posterior cingulate cortical
abnormalities can be a feature of early change in amyloid
deposition but as an isolated finding is nonspecific.
Dependent upon clinical status, follow-up PET/CT in 2 years may be
helpful to assess for interval change/progression. " what does that all saying this is a pet scan
