I have noticed a progressive burning when using touch screen devices. Started as tingling/ stinging on my fingertips. Thought it may be positional so I switched fingers. Bot***** *****ne years of use has created persistent painful neuropathy and permanent loss of sensation in my fingertips. Now that winter is here I am now finding cold exceptionally bad for my fingers.is there anything I can do for this painful neuropathy to get me through the winter?

Doctor's Assistant: Do you have a fever? Do you have any other existing medical conditions?

No fever, but existing raynauds to complicate.

First-line treatments for neuropathy are;

1) tricyclic antidepressants,

2) gabapentin

3 pregabalin, and

4) topical lidocaine 5% patch.

Second line treatment:

Opioids,

tramadol,

capsaicin cream, and

capsaicin 8% patch.

Other therapies that have demonstrated effectiveness for neuropathic pain;

serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors,

carbamazepine and valproic acid.

The helpful herbs for neuropathy are;

1) Willow bark
2)
Devil's Claw
3)
Feverfew
4)
St. John's wort
5) Valerian
6)
Boswellia
7)
Curcumin
8) Ginger extract

Supplements and alternative integrative therapy protocols for pain relief are;

1) Evening primrose oil

2) Acetyl-l-carnitine
