This is a question for an endocrine surgeon. I have had hyperparathyroidism since 2009. I have had three unsuccessful surgeries. One doctor made huge mistake of removing adenoma from neck but then auto transplanted an encapsulated 50 mg of adenoma into my neck, as opposed to removing it from my body. Can this adenoma now be located to remove it. It happened in 2012 and I'm still sick with same symptoms but the symptoms are increasing in severity now. Have severe osteoporosis which can't be fixed while the disease is my body. After almost 5 years of being in sternum, can this adenoma capsule still be found on a sestamini scan to remove it from body?

I am sorry you are having these issues

adenoma are benign masses which don't produce hormones and usually don't cause problems in your body.

an adenoma would not cause osteoporosis of your bones.

severe osteoporosis occurs from years of lack of calcium and lack of exercise of your body which helps strengthen your bones.

why do you think this adenoma is in your sternum?
