Second opinion] Hello,
I have had vestibular neuritis for about 3 months. I had a flu jab on Friday. Now vertigo has flared up and feel pretty much like I did after it started. Has the vaccination triggered the neuritis, and if so have I set myself back to the beginning. I am taking antiviral meds.
Kindest,

Dear customer,

Thank you for the question.

Vertigo is likely to be an adverse effect of the flu shot and this is more likely than the relapse of vestibular neuritis. So, you have not set yourself back to the beginning. The healing of vestibular neuritis is proceeding normally and was not interrupted by the flu shot. You should continue with the medications and take adequate rest to assist healing of the vestibular neuritis and also to minimize the side effects of the flu shot.

Take care.
