Well stimulation of the vagus nerve by eating, drinking and swallowing can act as a trigger to initiate episodes of atrial fibrillation.

You need to minimize / avoid alcohol, caffeine, excess salt, magnesium , vit K containing food like

  • leafy green vegetables such as spinach and kale
  • cauliflower
  • parsley
  • green tea
  • calf’s liver

So thats what you need to be careful about.

I hope it answers your query.

No new information of why afib started happening to me. Haven't changed my diet or eating habits.
Neurologist: Dr.Saleem, Doctor replied 10 months ago

Have you had an echocardiogram on your heart?any blood work done? That should include your thyroid hormone levels . Sometimes its just an abnormal electrical pathway that gets activated in the myocardium of heart leading to such arrythmias. Food, alcohol and coffee are basically triggers.
