I had a fusion w/instrumentation on June 23. I went to PT

Customer Question

I had a fusion w/instrumentation on June 23. I went to PT which did not hurt during therapy, but the next morning was painful to the right side of my midline back. I have no strength in my legs and am still using a walker or cane for short distances. I asked the doctor about the pain and he just said it's probably muscles. I'm not gaining any strength. I do not have the pain I had before surgery, but I don't see my legs getting any stronger.
JA: What seems to make the symptoms worse or better? Have you noticed any swelling?
Customer: No swelling. Sitting better. The more I try to walk or exercise, the weaker the legs get
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I have diabetes, medicine controlled. I've had 2 previous back fusions
