I am a physician. I have partial simple seizures, well

Customer Question

I am a physician. I have partial simple seizures, well controlled on Lamotrigine. I also have mild depression. I have been on both paroxetine and Cymbalta in the past and both have significant sexual side effects for me. I realize that I cannot take Wellbutrin because of the seizures. I see that there are some new SNRI's that are supposed to have fewer sexual side effects. Do you have a recommendation? Or a recommendation for another antidepressant that would help my situation?
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: Yes, I've seen a physician, though not a neurologist. She indicates that there are no other options. I take lamotrigine, levothyroxine, lisinopril, Calcium, and a small dose of Prempro.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No.
