I'm having problems with right hand. If I tap my fingernails

Customer Question

I'm having problems with right hand. If I tap my fingernails on the top of my right hand it feels like electric shocks shooting from my index finger. The joint from my thumb and wrist are in severe pain, it hurts to cross my thumb to pinky finger, I can't apply a lot of pressure to my thumb. I was walking my dog (great dane) he saw a cat, he tried to leap towards it, I put my thumb through his collar and he jerked forward again. I can't keep going through this pain. I've been to my primary care dr, I was put on anti inflammatory medicine, that didn't help, I've been doing this for 4 months now, it's getting worse and I can't take it.

Hello and welcome. I'm Dr Chip

Have you had any studies done for this like nerve conduction studies? X-rays?
