Is there anything I can do to lessen the pain of sacrolitis

Customer Question

Is there anything I can do to lessen the pain of sacrolitis in my right hip? I have had several injections recently and none have helped.
JA: How long have you had the pain? What seems to make the pain better or worse? Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I broke 3 vertebrae in my back 7 yrs. ago, had surgery and that helped but pain has been more severe this year. My Dr. knows this and, at that time, I had Cat scan and MRI. I have also had physical therapy in the past. Actually, that helped some.

I am sorry you are having bad sacroilitis pain.

I assume you have tried higher doses of NSAID anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen or meloxicam

you may benefit from a course of steroid therapy to help decrease inflammation

acupuncture could help decrease pain there.

you may benefit from nerve pain medications like neurontin or lyrica to help decrease pain

a lidocaine pain patch like Lidoderm 5% transdermal over the area could help

an implanted spinal stimulator could help decrease pain.
