My 49 yr. old daughter has been having seizures since July

Customer Question

My 49 yr. old daughter has been having seizures since July 2016 after a a car wreck in which she hit her forehead onthe steering wheel (airbag did not deploy) she broke her nose and had several other injuries. Since that timeshe has been to 3 differentneurologist and they cannot find a reasonfor these seizures. They have done EEG test, MRI,and CT scan. The 1 EEGtestverified abnormal brain waves. Nothing has beendone to help her because she has no medicalinsurance, One doctor told her she needed to see a psychiatrist that it may be a conversiondisordertriggered by the accident. She hasat least 15-20 seizures a day and no one seems to know why or give her a decent answer. Welive in Cumming,

Hi there. Seizures are quite common after head injury and can be temporary or permanent. They can also be difficult to diagnose via EEG or MRI. Is your daughter currently taking an anti-seizure medication?
