My wife has been hospitalized with the records saying brain dear for almost two weeks but her blood pressure and body temperature along with her heart rate and oxygen levels are normal with no medication given for them. Hello, this is Dr. David. I am reviewing your question now and will be with you momentarily.

I am sorry about your wife.

what happened to her to cauase her to be brain dead?

is she on a ventilator to breath for her?

are they giving her food through a tube?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
she is on a ventilator and they are feeding her through a feeding tube
Expert:  Dr. David replied 10 months ago.

what happened to her to cause her to be brain dead?

the deep part of the brain, the brain stem can keep the heart beating.

the deep brain tissue also keeps the body temperature. these findings don't mean she has higher brain functions.

what happens if they take her off of the ventilator? does she gasp for breath? if not, she can be brain dead.

it sounds like you are not willing to accept that she will not come back to life.

I'm just wanting a second opinion but no hospitals are accepting her in the U.S
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
She had a number of seizures on the 4th September but she had a baby like a week before
Expert:  Dr. David replied 10 months ago.

I see.

did they do a brain MRI or CT scan to see why she is brain dead?

did she have a bleed in her brain?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
No bleeding to the brain they did an EEG and a Cat Scan but they said there was no readings
Expert:  Dr. David replied 10 months ago.

that makes no sense.

get a copy of the CT scan report. I would be happy to review it with you.

make sure they did the brain CT can with IV contrast.

ask her doctors to do a apnea test where they take her off of the ventilator and sees if she gasps for breath.

this is a test to check for brain death or not.

they should try to do a brain MRI scan which gives more information about the brain.

she probably still has brain waves on EEG.
