Hi, i fell twice within a week. The 2nd time I fell I landed on my shin mostly which was very bruised and swollen. Saw sn orthopedist because 2 weeks later my ankle and calf continue to swell after being on my feet. He said nothing broken, it was just swelling frimbthe trauma. That was 2nd week July & swelling continues -every evening -ankle and 1 leg, swollen and red.
JA: How long have you had the symptoms? What seems to make the symptoms worse or better?
Customer: 1 month, staying off my feet (not possible ) & elevating at night
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

have you been using ice on the area to help decrease pain and swelling.

a zip lock bag of ice wrapped in a towel applied to the area for 20-40 minutes 3-5 times a day can help decrease pain and swelling and help decrease the bruising.
