I dropped accidentally dropped a plate on the top of my foot

Customer Question

I dropped accidentally dropped a plate on the top of my foot Within 30 seconds the vein was bulging out and it was very black and blue. About a day or two later I noticed this weird tingling / tight feeling in my shin. Could this be related? This has been on and off for about 2 weeks

You could have a simple soft tissue injury with a small vein rupture from the impact. You are probably exacerbating the soft tissue injury if you are on your feet everyday. Have you tried putting your foot up (elevating), using an ACE wrap and cold packs, and an antiinflammatory as needed. If pain/ is going away day by day I would continue this conservative treatment. If its gets worse or doesnt go away within a week or two, an Urgent Care can Xray your foot. Musculoskeletal injuries take about 4-6 weeks sometimes, depending on severity and how much activity you are doing during your recovery.
