Background: 36 year old male. 180 pounds 5'10” pretty goodBackground: 36 year old male. 180 pounds 5'10” pretty good shape with a fairly physical jobI have gone to a Chiro for the last 15 years. Back would get hurt like 4-5 times a year, would be uncomfortable for a week and then back to normal. No traumatic back injury. Good health.Origin: I woke up in Oct 2020 with terrible back pain(no mechanism of injury), could barely walk for a week. And then it didn't go away. The acuteness died down after 3 weeks, but I was left with flexion intolerance, very little strength to lift, especially in front of my body. Hip and Leg pain that moved around, felt like all muscles were pulled. Sitting made it much worse. Symptoms would be delayed, I would feel better one day and do something, then pay for it the next 4 days.Have been doing all the Physio exercises daily, and my core is much stronger now.All practitioners I saw; Chiro, massage, Physio, all believed it was herniated disc.2 months ago left leg started to get stereotypical sciatica symptoms.(which is strange because most of my leg symptoms have been on the right side) They started to get better then the next week.1 week later: HEAT and PAIN exploded through BOTH legs and GROIN. Debilitating, had to sit in a bathtub 8x per day for little relief. Ended up at the ER because I was worried about Cauda Equina syndrome. Was told not, but they ordered an MRI.Intensity and Acuteness went down over the next 2 weeks, now no symptoms of nerves stuff on right leg but it has stayed in groin: penis, scrotum and Perineum and Left leg. Nerve Pain and feelings also change and move around. Sometimes burny feeling in buttock and calf, sometime feels like cold water is dripped on front of calf. Sometimes feels like there is hand wrapped around back of my ankle. Leg can also feel physically hotter than other leg. Pain in groin area can be burny, or feel like someone is sqeezing my scrotum, peeing can feel painful, and I have the feeling I need to pee more often then I do.MRI SAYS: no herniated disc pressing on nerves, no stenosis, no narrowing. Mild degenerative disc disease L5-S1. Blood work shows elevated CRP 17.75mg/l, low Lymphocytes= 0.6GP thinks nerve pain not related to back injury but something different, referred me to a neurologist to get EMG testing. But Since I'm in Canada, there is quite a waitlist. Was wondering what you would be leaning towards with this presentation. … read more
