Customer Question

About 3 weeks ago, I started feeling pain on both sides of my right ankle. I'm able to walk on it, but it's quite sore. Recently, it's also been hurting even if I'm not moving. I don't see any swelling or bruising, but have noticed myself changing the way I walk. What could be causing this? I do have mild cerebral palsy, and already wear bilateral AFO's.

It could be gout or some other form of inflammatory arthritis.

I recommend a workup for inflammatory joint disease

This would include blood work and xrays of the joint

examples would be gout, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis
