I've been worrying about a brain tumor lately. I am 25

Customer Question

I've been worrying about a brain tumor lately. I am 25 weeks pregnant. I've had a whoosing in my ears as well as one instance of an ocular migrane. I have occasional headaches, but no nausea. I have often have a lot of green drainage when I wake up in my sinuses. When I close one eye, my face twitches near my cheek and I have occasional tingling or crawling sensation all over my body, sometimes in my face. I am anemic and also pretty low in vitamin D and b12, which my routine blood work showed. My nose is stuffy occasionally. My last eye exam was good. I have no optic nerve swelling, but do have optic nerve drusen. I am over weight. My mother has IIH (idiopathic intecranial hypertension) Sometimes I have clear fluid leak from my right nose. I am worried this is CSF. I have had quite a few injuries to the side of my face since high school so I am concerned that this may be the cause of the leak, but I am really scared it's a tumor possibly of my brain stem. I am on no medications. Tingling has been worse lately, but I've also been chroncially low on B-12 throughout my life.

The tingling sensation is a lot like an itching and burning sensation, sometimes in my face, hands, feet, or between my shoulder blades.

Hi there. Your post suggests you have multiple possible reasons for these symptoms...hormonal changes, B12 deficiency, vit D deficiency, anemia, sinus issues and probably stress and fatigue as well. None of them suggest a brain tumor. The chances of this in someone your age is extremely low. If your symptoms come and go, this reduces the risk even further. If you have had a normal neurological exam by your family doctor, this makes it even less likely.
