It sounds that you may have olecranon bursitis. This may cause fluid accumulation within a bursa ( this is a closed hollow structure that serves to cushion the outer prominence if the elbiw) The bursa may protrude outward and may be treated by your doctor to draw off fluid. We examine the character of the fluid to see if clear yellow or bloody , etc...

Drawing off fluid and injecting small amount of steroid and pressure dressing may help this ...

Bout is a potential cause....trauma to the elbow is a potential cause.
