I was rushing this morning to get to my car and slipped in

Customer Question

I was rushing this morning to get to my car and slipped in some mud. I pretty much did the splits with my right leg bent behind me and my foot all twisted up. My foot hurts so bad now. The pain is from my inside right ankle and goes across the top of my
foot. I can barely put pressure on it to walk and am kind of hobbling along. It's not bruised and doesn't look swollen, but the pain is excruciating. I have taken Tylenol (because I also am on Warfarin) and iced and elevated it. This happened about 6:30 this
morning and it's 11 am now and the pain has just gotten worse. I can feel twinges of pain shooting up my legs from time to time. Do you think it is sprained? I am pretty sure it's not fractured.

Thanks for this question.

This is a serious injury and needs xrays

There are guidelines called the Ottowa ankle rules that determine if you need xrays after an injury

No doubt about it, you need xrays. I recommend that now
