Customer Question

I went to bed last night feeling fine. During the night, when I moved, twice I felt dizzy. This morning, I felt dizzy when I stood up. The dizzy spells come on when I go from lying to sitting and a bit from sitting to standing. No headache, no earache
but I do feel a little nauseous. What's going on?

Your most likely diagnosis is BPPV. benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. There are many causes including ear infections hormonal changes in women head trauma electrolyte disorders etc. there is a associated migraine syndrome. And ones with no identifiable cause. please get back to me with questions. Look it up and reply or rate me if satisfied Dr frank

This could just start this suddenly? Could it be stress and fatigue related?
Expert:  Dr. Frank replied 2 years ago.

Yes. Stress and fatigue especially if you are not drinking water and are dehydrated. Some things you can do if u can't see your md. No sudden head movements. Elevate the head of your bed at least 2 pillows when laying down. Always move with your eyes open. Looking to a fixation point in the distance to steady your sense of balance. You may note ringing in the ears tinnitus. See your doctor if symptoms don't remit with hydration bed rest and Tylenol. Please ask questions if I can hell or rate my service if satisfied. Dr frank
