Every now and then my brain feels like a current is running

Customer Question

Every now and then my brain feels like a current is running through it and I become so dizzy that I can't even hold my head up. This lasts for about 5 to 10 seconds then stope. I used to get it only 2 or 3 times a year but the past few months, I've been getting it about twice a week.
Nothing particular seems to set it off. It's happened while driving, watching television, on the computer and just sitting and having a conversation with someone.
I'm really beginning to get worried. Should I be?

This is Dr. David
if it is happening more frequently, you should see a doctor about it
you need your blood pressure and blood glucose levels checked when this happens.
you might need a brain MRI scan and EEG study of your brain.
dizzy is not a good thing.
you don't want this to happen when you are driving.
it could put you at risk for a car accident
you need to talk to your doctor about it and explain that it is happening more frequently.
let me know if you have questions.
