help for advises for perm. nerve end damages
Expert:  DrRussMd replied 2 years ago.
OK
In conventional medicine, there is no way to cure permanent damage.
That is why it is permanent.
There are a number of medications that are effective for pain.
Some work for one person, some work for others.
Examples are:
Gabapentin.
Lyrica
Cymbalta
amitryptalline
And a number of others.
A pain management specialist doctor will use all of these and more.
A tens unit might help as well.
A B complex daily, magnesium, acetyl L carnitine, and alpha lipoic acid can all be helpful....this has to be tailored to the individual.
OK, so that is an initial answer….
Please use reply to expert if you have further questions. When you are ready, please click a positive rating [hopefully excellent]. If you forgot something, come back. I am here daily.
