I have been diagnosed with functional neurological disorder,

Customer Question

I have been diagnosed with functional neurological disorder, chronic pain and chronic fatigue. for years now my legs, hands, back and neck have been twitching and extremely painful. my first MRI showed that there was possible lesions on the pons, the 2nd one apparently showed nothing so my neurologist says the first one is wrong and there is no reason to do a 3rd. my nerve conduction tests came back all clear, other than that i have had no other tests or examinations done.
in the last 2 months i have woken up twice and not been able to walk, my legs hurt, feel like they cant take the weight of me standing on them and when i try to move them it's like they don't know how to do it.
please can anyone offer any advice as i feel like i'm going nuts.
my neurologist wont do any further tests and has never once done a hands on examination, just sat and talked.
he has sent me on a 4 week "pain management" course but its more like cognitive therapy and hasn't helped at all.

What "functional" disorder?
