My MRI of my brain was normal

This could be something called occipital neuralgia. It is a nerve impingement in the back of the head. It can cause severe pain.A steroid injection into the area can fix it. I would ask your doctor about this and see if you can get an injection

I tried a cortisone injection in both sides of my head and it didn't work. Where should I go from here? Im schedulers to have a lumbar puncture done tuesday.
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 2 years ago.
That is a good idea.If that doesn't work you will need an EMG. This is a study of muscles and nerves that can tell if there is any impingement anywhere
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Okay because if it was occipital neuralgia a cortisone injection would have worked right?

I am just scared something bad is going to happen to me before they figure out what is wrong. I have been to the ER 4 times and they keep referring me to neurologists where I have gotten tension headache diagnoses, migraines, low CSF high CSF what do you think based off my symptoms? Hopefully the LP will help will the diagnosis.

If your scans are normal, nothing bad will happen
