Hi there,
This is Dr Basu, Experienced Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.
Small venous swelling can be due to the dilatation of thevein--that is common with migraine attacks.
Since you do not have any severe headache or any other neurological signs like facial weakness, or loss of vision it is very unlikely anything serious.
Temporal arteritis is unlikely.
Please also get it checked by your doctor.
Best wishes,
It was my pleasure to help you today.

Hi I did have a severe headache a few days ago that lasted a day and night though
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Also I just had the mirena coil taken out 4 days ago could this be caused by that
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 2 years ago.
withdrawal from the mirena coil can precipitate headache.
nd your headache subsided which is a good news.
You did not develop any other neurological signs.
So this is nothing serious.
Best wishes

I have had to come home with another serious headache tonight I am now taking painkillers 3 times a day but I feel like it is from the coil
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 2 years ago.
This is likely true --mirena coil related.
Migraine headaches respond well to triptans like sumatriptan or zolmitriptan nasal spray, or oral tablets.
Best wishes
