Is the following MRI report consistent with someone that has a herniated disk and/or sciatica?
L5-S1: There is 7mm large posterior broad-based disk protrusion and disk osteophyte complex extending into bilateral foramina. Large facet hypertrophy. Severe bilateral foraminal narrowing and nerve root compressions.
L4-5: there is 7mm broad-based posterior disk protrusion with left paracentral focal disk extrusion with annulus tear. Disk osteophyte extends into foramina. Facet hypertrophy along with ligamentum flavum hypertrophy with severe bilateral foraminal narrowing and nerve root compression.
At L3-4: There is large almost 10 mm posterior central focal disk protrusion with disk osteophyte extending into bilateral foramina with severe foraminal narrowing. Large facet and ligamentum hypertrophy. Severe spinal stenosis with compression of the cauda equina.
There is posterior displacement of the posterior spinal ligament from these disk osteophytes at L3-4 through L5-S1.
At L2-3: small broad-based posterior disk osteophytes bilateral foramina. Mild foraminal narrowing bilaterally.
At L1-2: small disk osteophyte bilateral foramina.
At L3-4, there is 10 mm posterior central focal disk extrusion. Large disk osteophyte extends into bilateral foramina. Large facet and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy causing severe bilateral foraminal narrowing and nerve root compressions. Severe spinal stenosis with compression of the cauda equina.
At L4-L5 and L5-S1, large posterior broad-based disk osteophytes extending into foramina. Left posterior paracentral focal disk extrusion L4-5. Posterior element hypertrophy. Severe bilateral foraminal narrowing and nerve root compressions both levels.
Significant posterior displacement of the posterior spinal ligament at these three levels extending from L3-4 through L5-S1.
